Can I just ask, what is the combination jersey and classification? Is it all the points from mountain and points classification and GC time put together and somehow converted into points?
They sum together the places for all the classifications (gc, kom, points). So if rider X is 1st in all of them then he gets 3 points in the combination classification. If he is 1st, 1st and 3rd then he gets 5 points. Who has the smallest amount of points takes the jersey.
At the moment Cobo is leading with 7 points. He is 1st in the GC, 3rd in the points classification and 3rd best climber.
Hope that was clear enough.

Rodriguez should have attacked with Paulinho. He would lose but would have gained far more points. |

The portuguese commentators? Strange since I only saw the last 10km with the portuguese audio and Paulo Martins kept insisting from the beginning that Gavazzi had the stage 100% won and nothing could change that.
I was just about to say the same. However in my version he said Gavazzi winning probability was over 9000%
What a shame for Paulinho. It was really fucking stupid that nobody, except maybe Vandewalle, tried anything before the line knowing they had Gavazzi among them. I guess Paulinho was the only one in that break with a brain, and most of all, balls.

Heh. Funny because I had to leave with 37kms to go so I didn't see the rest
If you want to say 'the things science doesn't understand...that's god's hand', then - because the list of things science can't explain and that religious people attribute to god is constantly getting smaller and smaller - you've just defined your own god as a continuously receding pocket of ignorance.
That's about the most offensive thing you could possibly say about a religion. Yet people only ever claim it about their own religion. |

Why not, his performance is still more credible than Froome's.

What do you think about todays stage? Will we see any attacks up Alto El Vivero?
I think that Froome just has to go for it. This is his last chance and I will be shocked if Sky doesn't try something today. If they don't it will seem like they're riding for 2nd. |

Clearly in Basque Country now, 4 men in the breakaway: I. Antón and Verdugo from Euskaltel, Bruseghin and Dyachenko. They have a lead off 5'35, with 94 kms to go. |

It's 38C right now in Bilbao. Might be quite a factor in the last 2 climbs.

Please let them stay clear. I'd love to see Anton winning a stage in his home region.

Good pace by Lofkvist. Only around 30/40 in peleton.

I have a feeling that Sky will attack up Alto El Vivero. It's only 14km before the finish and it's their only chance to gain time on Cobo in this Vuelta.
I will be very surprised if they don't do anything. |

I hope there'll be excitement in El Vivero.
