Gutted that bad luck has struck at such an interesting race. Have to see what Medvedev can salvage, but theres a good reason why he isnt a GC leader - flat and hills dont work well for him.

Bit of a mess of a stage - Cunego nicely positioned now, but don't like Henao being so far in front.

Abal poor as well - hoped he might be able to get a high GC position too. Hope Colombia put a man in the break the next few stages and refuse to do any work.

It's sad that Serpa missed that cut again, otherwise he would have been doing very well this race I think. Very aggressive, which is good for my chances of a stagewin I think. 4th here after attacked multiple times to win, is great. More of that please.

Very good rides from Hacecký and Keinath. Right where I hope they'd be!

Abal rumoured to Bacardi. Any comments on this, Fenian?

Nicely done Machado, nicely done. Feel like there should have been a gap there though.

And a bit wtf to every other rider from Pearl Adidas. The entire team (apart from Machado) got dropped in this stage? Even Panayotov?

Knowing that he will drop when the big mountains will come, Ardila should have done a little bit better here.

It's unlikely he'll make it out of Colombia alive.

Bizarre finish and plain difficult to understand why Cunego was not interested in doing anything there, whereas he was sprinting like a sprinter on the properly flat stage 1.

I think he was waiting for Castadena to do something, which is why he didn't attack. Then the bunch sprint was just whoever happened to be at the front.

Serpa tried to do the difference again today. I'm liking his attitude. Hopefully he'll get something out of it. Also a good stage to attack in for Morabito. Hopefully he'll give it another try.

Nice, really nice! That's almost the best possible start of this race for me, great riding by Henao. Sergio, please keep it up!

Anyway, gutted a little bit that there were no time gaps in stage 4. These extra seconds on Cunego would be really useful.

Nice riding by Henao once again and this time by Rohregger as well, they were so agressive as always. Smile

The next stage will be crucial. Henao could possibly loose a lot of time on these hills..

Shame that Keinath and Hacecký missed the cut, but they probably couldn't hang on. Sitting nicely inside the Top 20 though, and a good showing from Guldhammer aswell. He should be able to do a lot more next season in these kinds of races!

The team can take heart from a good stage there with Gadret and Kirchen featuring well.

Some hope for a KoM attempt and possibly a team classification.

The GC battle will go right the the final tough 3 days of this race, which is good news I think (though possibly bad for Cafe de Colombia!).

Good to see Cunego and Colombia take a win in Colombia!

Hope that Cunego can make the hill stat really count in the next stage. Would be nice (for me) to see him (and even Ricco) really stick it to Montoya on the stage. Smile

I got the good half of what you wanted Pfft.

Nice victory by Ricco, i can't stop feeling that he's been wasting a lot of energy though. We'll see how it turns out the upcoming days. I really hope he can get the podium.
