He's abandoned after falling.

I did not see the fall, that is a pity for him.

Me neither (we probably have the same stream anyway), but I read it on a live-ticker.
He punctured after falling, so as he was disappointed he gave up. That's how the live-ticker put it at least.

Kulhavy.
I don´t like Schurter, the Germans never had a chance so i´m happy with Kulhavy. Bad luck for Fontana, but i think he wasn´t as strong as the two in front of him.

He more or less hinted in recent interviews that he wouldn't be competitive today. He didn't end the Tour in the shape he expected.

Damn so unlucky Fontana was. Whitout that he might have been fighting for gold. Great fighting from him. Glad he got a bronze medal + Marco Aurelio Fontana is a fucking epic name! |

Definately going to have to start following MTB more closely, was awesome to watch. The course was pretty spectacular to be at, and the race was great with the battle for victory going all the way to the end.
And Montolivo, I was wondering why Fontana wasnt looking overly happy on the podium, I guess that will be why!
Just got time for uploading a few pictures (such a photogenic sport!):
