currently about to start my second season with team sky. as we have a large numer of Australasian riders (Rogers, Gerrans, Sutton, Hayman, Henderson) the Aussie Champs and TDU are quite important to our season.
so why have all my australian riders started the season with 22-25% fitness while others in my team have 50% fitness? surely it's logical that australian riders will start the season fitter beacause of the Aussie Champs and TDU.

it really doesnt matter, fitness will shoot up quick anyway and the AI is useless in the early season races

You could send your riders to preparation camps. I gave them 5 days before the Aussie champs and 5 days after. Just make sure to raise the level slowly so that they don't get frustrated and to avoid much fatigue.
