I am playing with Radioshack on normal difficulty. But I am almost bankrupt in March of the first season? I have done rather well and 1 and 3 place in individual rankings and 1st place as team. I have won several races so far. However the total amount of monthly salary is 620000 euros and my winnings is 150000 euros? Even if I have won alot I cannot win enough to keep my budget. What is wrong here people? |

You can make it easier for yourself by picking the "easy" option when starting a new career. This defines the financial difficulty and will give you more money to cover the wages of your riders.

Dismiss my staff? I only got 2 trainers 1 scout and a doctor as default. It wont cover it by a long shot.
I am running on easy settings apparantly. I am having to run in 620000 euros just to cover wages each month seems a bit weird when I am winning alot as it is as only covers like 150000 euros.
I am running with a custom database called RSM-news DB 2012 v0.9. Maybe that is the problem and its a bug???
Edit: I have now sacked all of my staff and still i need 590000 euros a month. LOL. Probably need to win all races to run a good finance situation then. Annoying.

Here is link to a screenshot from my finance section. This is after I have sacked all my staff. I have now been given a warning that if i cannot get my finances ok by end of month my team is bankrupt?

Your race income is € 95735 and your monthly staff salary is € 127492 and you are spending in training camps... you are losing to much money monthly, sorry friend but you are managed your finances so bad.
Seriously dismissed some of your trainers or the doctor , have you injury riders? if not, why are you paying for a doctor if you don't have injury riders?

I have not changed my staff from what I started with default. Until someone here said to sack them. But how do the cyclist become better without a trainer? I guess my finances are managed badly since its my first time in this 2012 version. But I am finding it weird that a team already got too much staff and cyclist than it can pay for. But I can understand having no doctor yes.
I did not have this issue in the earlier games.
How much race winnings each month should be concidered a ok month? And how much is a decent amount of trainer fee then? |

well the shortfall in your budget of €106,000 per month. this means to break even you need to win €106,000 per month. that's an awful lot of intermediary sprints.
you can sack your staff on the 2th of the month and then hire new staff on the 2nd of the following month, cheaper staff. (you'll have to pay a signing bonus though). it's totally immoral from an employment point of view (as you're not paying the sacked staff severance) but hey there is no employment tribunal in the game.
I started with the An Post-Sean Kelly team. my sponsor investment is 45,000 per month. my rider salaries is 45,000 but my staff salaries were 35,000 per month. first thing i did was sack my scout, my doctor (didn't trust him. his name was johan bruyneel) and sacked my highest paid trainer. i hired the cheapest belgian trainer i could find in his place but didn't hire any one else.
this means i now have to win 10,000 per month to keep on budget.
i also found that equipment was a luxury my team were better not having for the time being.
i also hired no rider despite my sponsor wanting more irish riders (hey guys, if you wanted more irish guys, maybe you should give me more money)

It was stupid to dismiss all staff unless you had the most expensive staff. Since as IFF saidy, you have to pay a signing bonus.
But as Miner mentioned, you are not playing with that DB, so either you did not install it correctly or did not select it in the option before starting the career.
Maybe the best would be to start a new career once the patch has come out.
To install a DB you need to do this:
Uninstall the game
Install the game
Install the patch
Install a DB which is compatible with the patch

Isn't stupid.
Have you seeing my Coldeportes story? I dismissed all of them, and it doesn't matter, i got a lot of victories and enough very good results. For me, staff are not the most important in a career.
Secondly, i can't understand, why Gomer_Pyle can't get better results with Radioshack in normal difficulty if i did great results in hard level with the Coldeportes Team.
Finaly, Gomer, did you play with some pack? or which database did you play?
maybe the cost of the equipment are the problem, maybe you are expending a lot money in equipment.
But honestly, with radioshack in normal level you should be earning more than € 95735. Dismissed the staff isn't a stupid thing is a quickly solution, but, the main solution is win a lot of money.
