The 1971 Project
Hello all, few weeks ago I got into playing PCM again.
After (again..) getting addicted as can be, I decided to rebuild my PCM 08 Database of the year 1971 for PCM 11.
Jerseys still work, but still a lot of stuff has to be done. (Basically a lot of boring database-work).
So, if somebody is interested in helping me, feel free to contact me.
I hope to release a first version in the near future. (Expect 2 weeks)

Oh, great!!!! Thanks to return to this project. AS the same, I can do the stats and tests. I have much more things now, I have researched a lot more. We can convert it for PCM11 |

Progress
The database is progressing faster then expected, in fact, the first version (equal to the 08 release) is already done and playable. It needs some polishing though. It won't be released yet, I want this one to be a bit bigger, with some extra features. (Think of stages and stuff)

About the equipment: Yes, it's on my list. Have to figure out how, but we'll manage
And the stats; We are still working on them, it's not just copying the 08 database stats. It's quite hard to rate the riders, knowing that their style of racing was a lot different then in these days. The PCM AI was not written for the Merckx - style attacking cycling.
To give you a little preview: Merckx is the best rider on average, but not the best climber or cobbled rider. (But he is only 1 point behind the best... Seriously, the man was a beast ) |
